The very best of Sunshine North: our sales expert Laura Harvey discusses all things Lakeside

After spending so much quality time in Sunshine North, Laura Harvey has become an expert on the suburb and all the things that make it so unique.

From community events to diverse cuisines and where to find the best soy lattes, she’s quite literally lived like a local and tried it all.

So, we thought who better to provide an insight into what the suburb and our Lakeside precinct have to offer than our sales expert who lives and breathes it every day.

Read on for her views on why Lakeside is set to become a thriving new community, suited to young professionals, families, downsizers, and everyone in between.

How would you describe the Sunshine North community?

There is such a wonderful community spirit in Sunshine North. Last year I attended the Sunshine Lantern Festival and the array of multi-cultural food on offer was amazing. The locals are very welcoming; I admire how highly they value family life.

What do you love the most about the Lakeside precinct within Pace of Sunshine North?

When I first visited the site, I fell in love. The descending rocks and surrounding landscape are truly stunning. It’s a view that’s typical of a coastal area, and to have this inland and only 10km from the city is unheard of.

How would you describe the location in terms of connectivity?

It’s so well connected and easy to get to from anywhere in Melbourne, while being so close to the city. You are also very close to the Maribyrnong River – you really get the best of both worlds.

The project has an amazing North-East exposure which will allow for so much natural light into each of the homes.

What’s the key highlight when looking at the design of the townhouses?

The colour palette of the homes by Cera Stribley Architects truly enhances the picturesque landscape. It is very soft and natural.

There is so much variation in the townhouse designs – nothing is identical, it’s all bespoke and very architectural. The designs emulate high end inner-city homes. We really put in the extra effort to make the homes feel unique.

What are your thoughts on the interiors, and what makes them so unique?

Firstly, layout is so important. The layout for every Lakeside residence is functional and designed to maximise space. You are truly getting your dream kitchen, butlers pantry included. I really like the interiors colour schemes too – there’s something to suit everyone’s style, and the brass finishes really adds that wow factor.

How would you best describe the amenities within the Lakeside community?

The new lake will include an array of fish and flora native to the area; it will be tranquil spot to relax and unwind. There will also be boardwalk over the lake, walking tracks, BBQs, and spots to entertain friends and family.

It will very much be a close-knit community vibe where you can get to know the neighbours and hold events and celebrations all together.

Who is interested in the Lakeside residences so far?

The feedback has been so positive from all different types of buyers. The location, the lake and the spacious layouts are the top three factors. Young families love the space they to grow, while downsizers are attracted to the generous two-level designs.  Then there are the working professionals, who love how close they are to the city and the shorter commute that comes with it.
