Your guide to green spaces in Coburg

Coburg is awash with green urban oases from communal gardens to places that feel as if you’ve lost – or found – yourself way out bush. Yet you’re only 8kms from the city.

With wide open parklands, bike trails and riverside reserves, nature is only a stone’s throw away from your doorstep when you live in 3058.

A Social Space

Joe’s Market Garden is two acres of sprawling organic gardens cared for by social enterprise CERES whose aim is to help people reconnect with the earth. There’s a farmers’ market here every morning where you can pick up fresh herbs and veggies, coffee and perhaps a baguette or two.

Just south of Joe’s is CERES’ Community Environment Park. It’s an immersive community garden with cafes, an organic grocer, a bakery and even a bush food nursery onsite. Not to mention, plenty of chooks and bees. Even better, there’s space to play or relax amongst the greenery too.

The Great Lake

Coburg Lake is a popular place where locals gather to stretch their legs and exhale. On warmer weekends, couples and families can enjoy picnics by the water while children feed the ducklings. Whether you prefer biking, barbequing or both; the choice is all yours.

Very Merri

Aside from Coburg Lake Reserve, endless green spaces are dotted alongside Merri Creek. There’s no doubt you’ll stumble upon a quiet, shady spot under a River Red Gum. Grab your hiking shoes or kayak and follow the Merri Creek Trail until you find a secluded sanctuary. If you’re feeling adventurous, the riverbanks are also ripe for foraging for hidden natural gems.

Verdant Views

No need to seek greener pastures when you have them right at home. The expansive rooftops of Pace 3058 feature panoramic views and abundant gardens inspired by the surrounding environment. Landscaped by ASPECT Studios, residents are encouraged to flex their green thumbs and cultivate biodiversity while socialising with neighbours.

A greener life in 3058 starts here – register your interest to be first to hear about our final release in late 2023.
