Food and fitness at Pace of Blackburn

At Pace, we’re often tasked with bringing first-to-market retail and dining venues to the local community. We’re excited to announce two brand new entrants to Pace of Blackburn: Daiku Japanese Restaurant and UBX Training.

When you choose to make a Pace project home, the convenience of apartment living doesn’t stop at your front door. From foodies to gym-goers, we understand that time-poor families need options aplenty at their fingertips. That’s why we’ve brought delicious dining and ultramodern training facilities to the doorsteps of Pace of Blackburn residents.

We spoke with Leo Wang, from Daiku Japanese Restaurant and Frank Gatto, from UBX Training, to discover why they chose to set up shop at Pace of Blackburn and learn what locals have in store.

“I was attracted to Blackburn as there were no other Japanese restaurants in the area. I know that Daiku will meet the needs of locals who’ve been craving great Japanese food,” Leo said.

Leo and his chefs at Daiku provide diners with a modern twist on traditional Japanese food. Using only high-quality ingredients, Leo assures us that every mouthful will be full of umami goodness – set to satisfy even the pickiest of palates.

Leo’s team takes pride in leaving every guest with a memorable experience. This service ethos is one that aligns strongly with his neighbour at UBX, Frank.

“Blackburn is such a fantastic, up-and-coming suburb with an exciting community coming into the area – we see a lot of potential in the suburb. So, when the opportunity of Pace of Blackburn presented itself, we jumped at the chance to make it UBX’s new home,” Frank said.

“Our spacious location in the new complex means everyone working out has enough room to comfortably exercise in their own space,” he continued.

UBX offers its members the tools and tips they need to learn the art of boxing and enjoy a satisfying full-body workout. It’s no coincidence the experience perfectly complements the premium in-house amenities of Pace of Blackburn.

Leo and Frank both agreed that their businesses are a perfect match for Pace of Blackburn. Each provides the community with unparalleled service that heightens the quality of living for residents.

As a bonus, all Pace of Blackburn residents are eligible to receive 10% off all meals at Daiku for the first three months of the restaurant’s opening. Plus, UBX is offering a free trial to residents. So, there’s no excuse to put off your 2023 fitness goals or schedule that long-overdue date night.

Alongside Daiku and UBX, Pace of Blackburn has an abundance of other retailers conveniently found within the precinct, with a café and Jefferies Provedore opening soon.
