Architecture and Interiors
A collaboration between Pace and the experts in all things architecture, SJB, Pace of Abbotsford is a design-led development that sought to honour the suburb’s significant industrial past.
Rising above the retained red-brick façade of Abbotsford’s original shoe making factory, the stylised architecture creates a visually appealing juxtaposition between the classic and the contemporary. Light coloured materials are used to provide a subtle exterior backdrop for bold and moveable metal screening, creating a dynamic finish that offers shade to the apartments within.
Jack Merlo-designed outdoor communal areas include a rooftop garden terrace which puts residents in the front seat of some seriously impressive Melbourne views, while a 20m infinity pool, gym, lounge, BBQ and dining area encourages a community-led way of life.
