Full steam ahead at our construction sites

With construction rapidly progressing across the city, we are taking you behind the scenes for an update on the buzzing first half of 2023. From Flemington to Blackburn, there’s construction activity in every corner, with significant progress made on-site and no signs of slowing down.

The Darley

2023 started off strong at The Darley. We commenced authority works, including underground high and low-voltage electricity adjacent to the site and the removal of overhead poles. Piling, retention, and excavation works are also proceeding to construct a 5-level basement. This includes the implementation of a haulage road onsite to accommodate vehicles, demolition of existing structures and earthworks to establish a piling platform.

Pace 3058

We reached momentous milestones this quarter at Pace 3058. The installation of the second tower crane and jump form for Building A and B – including signage – means the concrete structure is now above ground. We also completed the basement excavation works and lower ground floor structure for Building B.

Pace of Blackburn

Construction at Pace of Blackburn is complete, and we look forward to welcoming our Stage 2 residents into their new homes this month. We installed five communal EV chargers – a significant step toward our goal of incorporating sustainability initiatives into every Pace project.

The exterior is now visible following the dismantling of both the crane and scaffolding. We also added a splash of colour to the Western façade of Building A with the completion of a unique art mural by Matthew Johnston. In exciting retail news, the doors to Daiku opened in February for our residents to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine at their doorstep.

Pace of Sunshine North – Riverside

In recent months, our growing Riverside community at Pace of Sunshine North welcomed its newest residents with Stages 4 and 6 officially settled. We completed the final common area which included landscape nodes and a barbeque area to enhance connectivity within the development, through to the nearby Maribyrnong River.

Hampton Quarter

We are officially out of the ground with slabs poured for the bottom three levels, columns erected for level two and completed the basement works. The second tower crane now stands tall – marking an important move towards project completion – and the installation of the precast core and column is underway.

With the significant progress made on-site in the first half of 2023, our Construction Director Zafer Tillem is confident that the strong activity will continue into the colder months as we take our projects to new heights.

"Our dedicated Pace Building Group bring a strong sense of pride and passion in delivering quality projects for the postcodes and people that call them home, and we look forward to making further progress in the coming months."

“With settlements just around the corner, we are looking forward to handing over the keys to the remaining residents of Pace of Sunshine North – Riverside and Pace of Blackburn,” says Zafer.

If you have purchased a Pace property and would like to reach out to our dedicated Settlement team, please email settlement@pacedg.com.au, and be sure to keep an eye out for the next construction update to land in your inbox.
