On the building site of Pace of Doncaster East, the hammerhead crane stands tall, marking the ongoing construction of this new development. The ground floor slab and half of the level one slab have been poured. Level one alone is a mammoth undertaking, as it is a transfer slab and due to the quantity of concrete needed, it will require six concrete pours to complete, double the amount of other floors. The team has now commenced the first level two concrete pour. Several metres underground, basement fit out works are also underway. Only three apartments remain, each requiring just a 5% deposit. Construction Update - December 2017
The construction teams at Doncaster East have been progressing quickly in the final weeks of 2017. The project has already reached its second major milestone and is officially ‘out of the ground’ with basement retention and excavation works complete and the ground floor slab recently poured. Viewers standing on Mitchell Street can see the first signs of the structure that will bring modern, inner-city living to the leafy streets of Doncaster East. Concrete slabs are arriving in quick succession over three stages across the site allowing the building to slowly take form over the coming months. The arrival and installation of these pre-cast slabs will continue into the new year as we aim for completion in Q4, 2018. |
Construction Update - October 2017
The bulk excavation of the basement is nearing completion and the southern half of the site has bottomed out. Our first substantial concrete placement has been carried out with completion of the basement 3 slab on the ground. Precast structure and suspended basement carpark slabs will continue in the coming weeks on the southern side of the site whilst basement retention, bulk excavation and footing foundations will continue to the northern half of the project. The site is now facilitated by use of a Hammerhead Tower Crane assisting in the construction of all current structure elements moving toward closing the building out with tasks such as plaster load and landscaping installation. The towercrane will be in operation until mid-late 2018.
At Pace of Doncaster East, all three retail tenants are now confirmed. Purchasers will have prime access to a brand new Aldi flagship supermarket, a new restaurant from the creators of Three Monkeys Place and Pedram Dental Clinic.
We anticipate completion at Pace of Doncaster East in Q4, 2018.
Construction Update - August 2017
Our site in leafy Doncaster East has been cleared and excavations are progressing well as we work on levels 1 and 2 of our 3 level basement design. The concrete pilling retention walls have been sprayed in at level 1 and we've already moved on to excavations for level 2, taking us approximately 6 metres underground. The completion of concrete pilings and excavation for level 2 is on schedule for completion in August. Foundation concrete works at the ground floor have been completed as we start the process of preparing to move above ground in spring.

Construction Update - June 2017
As demolition and safe removal of the existing structures on site nears completion, planning for the next stage has already begun. Soil is being removed and the drilling rigs have arrived. This is an important stage as it involves setting the concrete piles in place for the retention systems that ready the area for excavation in the coming weeks.
The basement levels are significant in size, allowing for two or more car parks to 90% of the apartments.
The low-rise development has been a popular arrival in a peaceful, leafy Doncaster East neighbourhood, bordering the busier Doncaster activity zone.
The display suite has now relocated to 2/860 Doncaster Road, Doncaster East, so drop in and say hi to Michael.
With over 80% sold, the development is on schedule for completion in Q4, 2018.

With demolition gaining momentum, the project is quickly progressing as we prepare the area for construction to commence in May.
Our piling retention contractors will soon commence setting foundations. Boundary fence upgrades, drainage and initial pipework installation is on schedule for completion towards the end of May. Our current display suite at 3-11 Mitchell Street, Doncaster East will be relocating to 860 Doncaster Road in Doncaster so this weekend (22nd-23rd April) will be your FINAL opportunity to view Doncaster East and surrounds from above using our viewing platform.
Pace of Doncaster East is on track for completion in Q4, 2018.
