The Icon St Kilda Basement 5 Completed - Published August 2014

The Icon St Kilda is now at below Ground Level Structure phase of the project.

With the ground services completed, capping of the lowest level of the Project was completed at Basement Level 5. This marked a significant milestone for the project allowing works to move fully out of the ground and the new structure commencing.

Ten reinforced concrete columns and a structural central core system, housing the Lift Shaft, Central Stair and Services Risers, have now progressively been laid at each level up to Basement Level 2. Each of the suspended concrete levels comprise of a two way post tensioned concrete slab.

Access ramps for the car parks below ground have been completed, providing access for materials in, as well as back loading and clearing, in anticipation for services rough in.
