Pace Development Group Wins Api Award For The Icon, St KildaApartment Developments - Published September 2016
It must now seem like a moment of shear prescience, when Pace Development Group named their St. Kilda residential building ‘The Icon’. Because on Friday night it took out the 2016 Property Development Award at the Australian Property Industry Excellence in Property Awards. With it’s stack of multi-coloured levels and horizontal segmentation, innovative 18-storey project The Icon impressed the judges enough to scoop the overall Property Development Award at the Gala Dinner at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.
The Awards are judged across a swag of categories but all reward innovation and outstanding achievements, with a judging panel made up of property leaders. Accepting the Award on behalf of Pace Development Group, Head of Planning and Design, Michael Holah said, “We are delighted to accept this award for The Icon. Like any challenging design statement, The Icon created a sense of apprehension initially within the locally community, however with Pace’s expertise in the area, together with architects Jackson Clements Burrows (JCB) and local artist Matthew Johnson – the final result is truly stunning. One we should all be proud of.”
Featured recently here on Apartment Developments for their Pace of Doncaster and Pace of Northcote residential projects, Pace is an integrated builder and developer with over 22 years experience.
Used to praise, not to mention awards, the St Kilda firm’s motto remains humbly matter-of-fact: ‘Design, Construct, Deliver’. Working on The Icon with architects Jackson Clements Burrows were Pace’s own team of in-house architects and designers, ensuring a seamless result in a building defined by its apparently disconnected segments. In all, 119 apartments make up the multi-coloured forms.
As ever, their dedicated customer care team worked closely with all prospective buyers to make the sales process as easy as possible. For more information about The Icon, visit their website or contact Marketing Manager, Andrew Crichton on 0476 430 727.
